It turned out to be a very enjoyable evening despite the record-breaking temperature. I think that we were all pleasantly surprised at how many people turned out to enjoy the performance.
I want to thank the NWI for sponsoring the event, especially members of our organizing committee: Sue, Karen, Jill and Sheila. I know I had a lot of questions and bombarded you with emails and phone calls; so wanted to thank you sincerely for your patience and quick responses.
The after party for the cast and crew was a real hit. They loved having a country-type, relatively cool, quiet respite to go to after having been in the sweltering heat. And they raved about the food!!! So another round of thank yous go out to all the NWI members who contributed to the dinner: Sue, Karen, Pam, Jill, Deb, Hedy and Doreen.
And of course, many, many thanks go out to those of you who were kind enough to offer your support: Johnny for your enthusiastic backing, Tom for posting the ads in the Nugget (usually submitted by moi at the last minute), Danielle for doing an excellent job as Town Crier, and Fred for supplying the sign boards.
Preliminary planning for next year has begun and Keith, cast and crew are unanimous in saying that they want to come back to Navan, behind Bradley’s if Johnny will have them back 🙂 for sure! I think that they just may have a soft-spot for Navan.
On on to next year!
