On October 24, 2021, the Navan WI once again had a booth at The Original Navan Market. It was a beautiful day, and more than 5000 people came to event, which was located on the Navan Fair Grounds. This time we focused our sales of food items mostly on two things that were very popular when we did The Market in May: butter tarts and candy skewers.
We packaged the butter tarts in packages of two or boxes of nine and also had some made with gluten free pastry. Erin, Linda, Jill and Doreen were the butter tart makers. A group of us made more than 100 candy skewers (this project was organized by Joan). They were created in fall/Christmas themes and were very popular with our younger customers!
Our member Karen made beautiful caramel apples and also hot chocolate bombs. We also had some beautiful hand crafted items made by various members—dish cloths, cross stitch items, jewellery etc. We enjoyed each other’s company as we prepared and ran the booth, and we were able to make some funds for our various projects. Thanks Navan, for coming out to support us on this Market Day!
