Just over a year ago our member Mary passed away. She was an amazing woman and an integral part of not only our Navan WI, but our entire community. Mary joined the WI in 1965 and over her many years of membership, was always willing to volunteer for anything that needed to be done. She served on committees, organized events, baked and sold tickets—and always with a smile. One bread recipe of hers was so popular that it came to be known simply as “Mary’s buns.” And if there were an event where you were the recipient of Mary’s buns, it was a good day! Our Navan WI was richer for having Mary as our member.
