On Sunday, February 19, 2012, Verna Cotton, Navan WI Tweedsmuir Curator, invited the Navan WI Members, past and present, to her home for an afternoon tea. This was to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario (FWIO). A delightful time was spent enjoying salmon mousse, cake, and tea, served by Verna’s nieces, Betty Nielands and Jessie Wall. Verna now has the updated version of the Tweedsmuir Histories put together by Bonnie Sastri. It presents a wealth of stories about our Navan and its residents.
