More than 100 people enjoyed a sunny afternoon at the Domaine Perrault Winery in Navan for the 3rd Wine and Art Pairings event. Attendees sampled wines produced by Domaine Perrault, paired with tasty treats prepared by the Navan WI. Fourteen local artists displayed their work and all were entertained by the guitar music of Clara Charron.
Proceeds from this event provide bursaries for two local young women to pursue post-secondary education.
In addition to the wine and art, guests were treated to the music of Maria Clara Charron. Clara is a 19 year old singer-songwriter from Ottawa, Ontario. Her acoustic country/folk style lends itself to elegantly detailed lyrics on a number of different, but relatable themes and subjects. Her debut album, “In Country Songs,” was released last year.
Clara is also a writer for her independently launched, weekly online publication on songwriting and the music industry, and is studying Music Industry Arts at Algonquin College. She is currently in the studio, recording a new collection of her compositions.
