A Rose Program: Tips and Tricks to Make Gardening Easier and Fun

Presenter: Nancy McDonald from Ottawa Master Gardeners

Convenor:  Anne-Marie Potvin and Sheila Minogue-Calver

Sheila introduced Master Gardener Nancy MacDonald for an entertaining and informative presentation on Tips and Tricks to Make Gardening Easier and Fun. We were pleased to have a great turnout. Nancy shared tips about planning, planting and caring for our gardens, and she stressed that we are likely spending too much time maintaining our gardens and should take more time to enjoy them! She had great suggestions on types of annuals, perennials and shrubs to plant for our climate. She also suggested visiting the Master Gardeners of Ottawa Carleton website for Trowel Talk videos and many resources as we get ready for spring!

There were lots of questions from those attending and afterwards, our group wondered if we could visit Nancy’s garden!
