Once again, the women of WI got together to gather cards, write special notes to our seniors, and deliver the cards with candy to our retirement living communities. As well, the students of St. Theresa, St. Dominic, and École élémentaire catholique Saint-Joseph d’Orléans participated in this effort.
We delivered a whopping total of 756 cards to the following 8 senior residences this year: Revera Portobello, Queenswood Villa, Chapel Hill, Symphony, Promenade, Madonna, Sarsfield, and Cumberland.
Many thanks to all who signed the cards; and a very special thank you goes out to:
- Lorraine, who got French cards from École élémentaire catholique Saint-Joseph d’Orléans and made a special delivery to Queenswood Villa;
- Joan, who put together the baskets with cards and candies and drove the sleigh to the other residences; and
- The students of St. Theresa, St. Dominic, and École élémentaire catholique Saint-Joseph d’Orléans who made cards for seniors.
The hard work of the WI elves, along with our school elves will make Christmas a little more special for the residents of all the homes we delivered to. Being part of this project really got us in the Christmas spirit.
